Three easy tips to make your email list building efforts MORE profitable...
1. Content is key
Can you think of a successful business that doesn’t have an Instagram profile, Facebook page, blog, Videos, Podcast etc? Probably not.
Why, you might ask. Well, creating engaging, highly-shareable content is key to getting your brand out there. On top of that, it helps establish you as an expert in your field, so potential customers or clients feel that they can trust your products or services!
One of my NO.1 FAVOURITE highly-engaging and highly-shareable content tools is a QUIZ!
QUIZZES are the super secret power to most online entrepreneurs success - your audience instantly engage with your questions, and they instantly engage with your results content too... and this INSTANTLY sets you up as an authority (no PDF or Cheatsheet can do that)!
2. Get to work networking
This tip is an oldie but a goodie... Success isn’t about what you do as much as who you know. When you invest time not only in meeting entrepreneurs from your industry, but also going above and beyond to help them, you’re building a support system. While competition certainly has its place, camaraderie can go even further in ensuring your business stays afloat.
I love featuring as a guest on Podcasts, it allows me to showcase my knowledge and position myself as the 'go-to' expert in my field to a captive audience. As a Podcast guest, you can usually share a freebie giveaway to the audience, and my no.1 freebie share for a Podcast audience is without a doubt a QUIZ!
A QUIZ is fast to complete, so they have zero friction, and we often have a higher than average opt-in rate too, and QUIZZES are the best tool for converting a cold audience into customers!
3. Refine your brand
You’re more likely to buy from a friend than a business, but, luckily, your brand can *and should* be both.
This comes down to a few things… First, make sure your product or service aligns with your message. On top of that, use consistent messaging across all social media platforms, and in your shareable content like blog posts or videos. And you absolutely must know your ideal customer or client like the back of your hand! This’ll let them know that they mean more to you than just another sale.
One of the most POWERFUL strategies that you can do when growing your email list with perfect subscribers is to segment your list. NOT everyone who joins your email list will be in the same situations or scenarios! And NOT everyone will have the same problems or looking for the same solutions.
Your job is to quickly identify this and serve your audience based on WHAT they actually need NOW, and NOT what YOU think they need help with. You can do this with Webinars, or split testing different PDF titles, you could even run a poll or survey on Facebook. But the easiest way to properly understand WHO your audience are, and WHAT they need is simply having them run through a QUIZ!
